An der Universität von Pennsylvania in Philadelphia gibt es nunmehr ein eigenes social bookmarking-System. Die Frage, die auch bei netbib gestellt wird, ist berechtigt: wäre es nicht besser gewesen, auf die Nutzung von del.icio.us, besser noch CiteULike oder Connotea hinzuweisen (letzters gibt es ja auch als open source)? Denn letztlich läuft die Zersplitterung der Gemeinschaft dem ursprünglichen Sinn des social bookmarking zuwider…
PennTags is a tagging system that lets you organize and share your bookmarks. You can use the UPennToolbar or use a PennTags bookmarklet to get a tagging icon that lets you post sites into the tagging system. Additionally, the system allows you to tag Franklin and VCaT records. Additional features will be added.
