F (failing grade) essays fall below university standards. They demonstrate intellectual apathy and lack of effort on behalf of the author. F papers are badly written, structurally lazy and contain arguments that are copied or irrelevant. They resemble a draft rather than a final product. F papers are badly researched, not well structured and contain too many disturbing technical errors. They are often plagiarized, fail to include sources and demonstrate no personal effort and critical reflection.
