Social bookmarking changes blogging
Wolfgang Sommergut just mentioned some points (German article) about tools like Spurl, Furl and del.icio.us.
To sum these points up, he says:
- There will be fewer postings that simply point to a page and say »cool stuff«.
- Most link blogs or link dumps will disappear.
- There will be higher expectations towards blogs.
- There is no satisfying solution to integrate social bookmarks into a weblog.
In general, all these things are true. Especially the bookmarks’ integration has to become better (as TXP user i am still waiting for a really good XML-RPC solution), although Feedburner offers a satisfying workaround for Furl and del.icio.us users.
